Science in the faces of SFU: outstanding scientist Evgenia Bondarevskaya and the theory of student-centered education

She led a recognized and widely known scientific school in the country, whose activities are aimed at developing the theory and practice of personality-oriented education of a cultural type, the fundamental core of which is the education of a citizen, a person of culture and morality.

The fundamental nature of Bondarevskaya’s research is combined with its practical orientation, scientific support for educational reform processes, the organization of experimental work, and scientific and methodological support for innovative processes in education. In 1996 she received the title of Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation.

Bondarevskaya was not only a famous teacher-researcher, but also a talented organizer of science. She was the constant leader and co-director of international, all-Russian, interuniversity and regional forums, conferences, and scientific readings held in the region. Among them are the annual readings “Personal Development in the Educational Systems of the South Russian Region”, the international pedagogical forum “Education of a Citizen, a Person of Culture and Morality – the Basis of the Social Technology of Development of Modern Russia”, the international congress “Slavic Pedagogical Gathering”, which received wide recognition from Russia and Commonwealth countries.

Author of more than 300 scientific works on pedagogy. Under her leadership, more than 100 candidate and 36 doctoral dissertations were defended.
