Astro Lords is a free science fiction game with impressive Unity 3D graphics. It is available as a browser and client version and offers an intensive, varied gaming experience. The new sci-fi MMO Astro Lords : Oort Cloud is based on the scientific theory of the Öpik-Oort cloud, developed by Jan Oort in the second half of the 20th century. The Oort Cloud includes the outer reaches of our solar system and millions of asteroids that are under the influence of the Sun’s gravitational pull.
Build, fight and conquer in the space game Astro Lords
In Astro Lords : Oort Cloud, each player has an asteroid base from which they can extract energy and crystals and use them to build factories for cyborgs and weapons, among other things. Each new Astro Lord is greeted by an advisor who provides some tutorial quests for them. By completing these exercises, players will gain important tips and resources to help them build basic infrastructure. At the start of the space game, the asteroid is in the Kuiper Belt, a safe zone where raids and espionage are forbidden. Once the science of asteroid navigation is learned, Astro-Lords can then reach the Oort Cloud and navigate their base through space as well as conquer other asteroids. The ability to navigate asteroids is also useful, for example, for tracking enemies or escaping stubborn attackers, for trading expeditions, for finding safe places within trading zones, and for navigating nebulae full of valuable resources. Because nebulae in the Oort Cloud are zones with an increased probability of useful discoveries, where researchers can find, for example, tritium, microchips, crystals and unique objects.
Build buildings etc. in the strategy game
Astro-Lords are constantly expanding their asteroids with factories, mines and research and storage facilities, improving them, learning new sciences and hiring captains and officers. Each player can have up to six captains. Your captains choose Astro-Lords from seven captain classes, each with different abilities and their own ship type. A total of seven different ship types are available.
When the Astro Lords captains fight
Captains fight in the arena against other lords, aliens and boss opponents and defend their own asteroid. Starbases and spaceships are equipped in the hangar with ammunition or officers, artifacts and runes, each of which brings various improvements. In addition, players can forge strategic alliances or send spies to other asteroids and plan raids on them.
Once they have learned the science of the domains, Astro-Lords are also able to conquer up to five secondary asteroids, for example to obtain even more crystals and other resources. In order to capture another lord’s secondary asteroid, they must destroy his starbase. But constant attention is required, because it can also be regained!
The shooter game mechanics in the space game
Astro Lords: Oort Cloud features a shooter game mechanic that combines arcade shooting with artillery gameplay. Astro Lords move their spaceships by clicking on the movement icon and dragging in the desired direction. When they click and drag a weapon in the direction of another spaceship, they fire at the enemy, who can fire back and dodge in real time. Particularly strong boss opponents can only be fought by teams with several players.
Conclusion on the space browser game Astro Lords
Astro Lords is the first free MMO with a moving map. In many other games, for example, a village, a player’s base, is surrounded by specific player villages, i.e. other bases. These can be abandoned or conquered, but basically the neighbor is the same for the entire lifespan of the browser game. In Astro Lords: Oort Cloud, each asteroid initially moves through the solar system at its own speed and in its own orbit and can be controlled by the player at a certain point. This gives Astro Lords a constant stream of new neighbors and enemies, as well as a new level of complexity in online strategic warfare.
