Anno Online – in the online economic simulation of the same name, Anno Online, you, as in the PC game, strive for wealth and power as the ruler of an island. You build houses, production facilities for food and beverages as well as various other buildings such as a shipyard, a church, a school or an inn. You optimize the goods and production processes so that your population doesn’t lack for anything. You can sell excess goods to your fellow players using the trading function. The higher your income increases, the more your political influence increases and you become a respected prince in the game whose influence extends far beyond his own empire. If you join an alliance, you can build a powerful confederation together with your fellow players.
The gameplay in the economic simulation Anno Online
In the online version of Anno, too, it is important to provide the population of your island with sufficient supplies so that they can live happily. As in real life, education is key in the game. Because a well-educated population is happier and it also allows you to research new technologies. Who knows what this knowledge can be of use in the increasing struggle with the competition. Skillful trading should not be underestimated in this simulation. Buying missing goods cheaply in the neighborhood and selling them at a high price on your own island is worth it. Not only does this bring you big profits, your reputation on your own island also increases and your economy flourishes. The economic simulation draws its appeal not only from the constant building of your own empire, but also from the search for the most profitable trade route. But the big catch is, the opposing players do this too, so as a player you have to be faster than others, otherwise one of the opponents will take all the glory.
This is how you trade in the browser game Anno Online
If you want to play Anno Online for free, you will notice that this browser game, just like the offline series, offers a very extensive gaming experience with complex connections. Production chains must be coordinated and the respective buildings must be available in sufficient quantities. Your population must not be neglected because dissatisfied residents emigrate and therefore there are not enough free workers available to produce the necessary goods. The motto “homemade is half sold” also applies in this simulation. Just like in the original game, in Anno online you can build the buildings yourself, such as rental houses. You can build these houses immediately if you have the building materials in storage, while for production facilities such as the mead brewer or the sawmill you first need to have the appropriate foundations in place. This may take some time, because as the saying goes, Rome wasn’t built in a day. These basics can include, among other things, a set account balance or a certain level of research and development on your island.
This online version of Anno is currently still a beta version, so some tasks and aspects of the browser game are still missing, but these will be integrated later. If you’ve enjoyed the PC version of Anno before and want to play Anno online for free, then you’ll quickly get to grips with the online version of the game.
