A conference on the creation of domestic robotic systems of a new generation ended in Dombay

The organizer was traditionally the Scientific Research Institute of Robotics and Control Processes of the Southern Federal University together with the National Center for the Development of Technologies and Basic Elements of Robotics FPI under the coordination of the Board of the Military-Industrial Complex of the Russian Federation.

Participants in the XVII All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Advanced Systems and Management Problems” included representatives of federal executive authorities, key scientific and educational organizations in Russia and industrial enterprises of the Russian Federation.

“Control systems for robotic complexes are among the priority technology packages for our university – areas of applied development in which we intend to work on key solutions that provide a number of technological safety issues. The implementation of new agreements that we concluded at the conference “Advanced Systems and Management Problems” with the structures of the ROSTEC Group of Companies and one of the largest Russian UAV manufacturers will allow us to strengthen interaction, clarify the technological barriers of our partners and increase the level of technological readiness of the solutions being developed.
Russian defense industry organizations note a high demand for specialized specialists with an increasing need to develop high-tech production, implement systemic R&D and form a personnel reserve for strategic positions. The main ways to overcome these problems are aimed at strengthening the partnership of universities with large companies implementing high-tech programs and projects. In this direction, in accordance with the strategy of the SFU program “Priority 2030”, a project is being developed to create a centralized research and development center, which will include a unified simulation complex and a full-scale multi-medium test site in Taganrog,” emphasized SFU Rector Inna Shevchenko .

The extensive program of the event included round tables, panel discussions, section meetings, and robotics competitions.

“We must consolidate the efforts of the expert community in order to systematically counter emerging threats to national security. To achieve these goals, advanced technological development is required, primarily in the direction of the development of domestic on-board computers, technical vision systems, and navigation systems,” said Vyacheslav Pshikhopov, director of the Research Institute of Robotics and Control Processes of the Southern Federal University .

According to representatives of the expert community, it will be possible to strengthen the autonomy of the industry by increasing the efficiency of interaction between scientific and scientific-educational organizations with enterprises in the real sector of the economy, including within the framework of interdepartmental integration, as well as relevant state, federal and industry programs.

We will have to act under conditions of sanctions and broken chains with foreign suppliers, but this will give the domestic industry a new round of development.

At the conference site, SFU signed a cooperation agreement with JSC “Management Systems” of the ROSTEC Group of Companies. The parties agreed to jointly implement a project to create a Center for the unification and development of competencies in the field of intelligent control technologies and robotics. Also, KT-Unmanned Systems JSC of the Kronstadt Group of Companies, which is the leader in Russia in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, has become a new strategic partner of SFU.

The important problem of personnel training was also discussed at the conference. As part of the NTI Technological Breakthrough, a project of priority engineering schools will be launched in the near future.

“Organizations of the Russian defense industry note a shortage of specialized specialists with an increasing need for the development of high-tech production, the implementation of systemic R&D and the formation of a personnel reserve for strategic positions. The main ways to overcome these problems are aimed at strengthening the partnership of universities with large companies implementing high-tech programs and projects. In this direction, in accordance with the strategy of the SFU “Priority 2030” program, a project is being developed to create a centralized control center, which will include a unified simulation complex and a full-scale multi-medium test site in Taganrog,” added Evgeniy Mukhanov, vice-rector for strategic and innovative development of SFU .

The XIII youth school-seminar “Management and processing of information in technical systems” was also held in Dombay. The experts were representatives of the Foundation for Advanced Research and the academic community. The commission was headed by the symbol of the conference – the driver of Lunokhod-1 and Lunokhod-2, Major General Vyacheslav Dovgan. According to the results of the meeting, first place was taken by second-year IRTSU SFU student Vsevolod Gruntovsky. The second were representatives of the Institute of Management Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Third place went to students from TUSUR (Tomsk).

The conference program also included the regional RoboCup Junior championship. More than 45 people from 13 teams took part in it. The competition was held in two age categories. The victory in the senior group (14-19 years old) was won by the team “TONK” (Rostov Quantorium). The second result was shown by representatives of the Southern Federal University, the ROBOT NII K team (Taganrog). The top three were closed by a team called “Sarmak” (Republic of Ingushetia).
